Visco-elastic polyurethane foam, commonly known as "memory foam," is one of the latest contributions of science to the bedding and furniture industry. Memory foam was developed in conjunction with Nasa to try and reduce the intense g-forces experienced by astronauts in space flight. Swedish scientists recognized it's potential for commercial use and developed it for use in the sleep industry.
Now, after more than 20 years on the market, we know that memory foam truly is a remarkable bedding material and offers pressure-relief and comfort that is impossible with standard materials. We also know that waterbeds are widely regarded as the best material for optimal body alignment, pressure relief and comfort. Combine the two and you have simply the best system you can buy.
You don't want too much (we only offer 1" or 2" on select beds), but an inch or two can make all the difference in your sleep experience.
