Traditionally, satin comes in two varieties. Most satin that you'll encounter in the bedding industry is made from polyester, and is a low grade fabric. Our satin waterbed sheets are not manufactured in polyester satin, but rather the higher quality Acetate satin.
Specifically, our satin is "Bridal" satin, which is the grade used in making bridal gowns. It is composed of a nylon acetate, and is a heavier, thicker, more luxurious satin than the polyester.
This "Real Bridal" satin is only available to us in 45" wide bolts, and thus, all sheets made of "Real Bridal" satin must have a seam. This seam is reinforced, and generally does not cause a problem, but you should be aware that the sheets will come with it.
Our Bridal Satin sheets are fabricated with 2 seams which we place aesthetically. They are placed on the sides so they fall close to edges of bed and are less visible in general.
Based on our research and experience, most people prefer seams to fall on side of beds as majority of bed surface appear seamless.
Queen bed sheets will have seams that will be on VISIBLE on sides of bed about 1.5 inches or so inset. ( Mattress width 60 inches less apx. fabric width of 57 inches. )
King size bed will have VISIBLE seams apx ( 72-57 = 13" so each side = 6.5 inches )
6.5 inches inset of bed surface.
Super Single sheets will have no seams.
It is more work for us to join this extra seam but we find that consumers are more assertive buying these sheets and end up being repeat customers.
If you would prefer to have a center seam this can be accommodated. You MUST send a request to us by email or phone immediately after making the purchase.
Made from the highest quality satin available, these waterbed sheets are very smooth, slick and silky. Bridal satin sheets are tightly woven, luxurious, and durable.
